NEA WebChat with NEST Fellows
The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) is engaging with figures throughout the energy sector to explore new ways to address today's challenges. The next in depth conversation will be with two Fellows participating in the NEA Nuclear Education, Skills and Technology (NEST) Framework. The NEST Framework is a multilateral initiative which, through international collaborative research projects, trains and facilitates the skills development and training of the next generation of nuclear professionals. As a NEST Fellow both Larissa Shasko and Stephen King have been working with an assigned mentor to help them acquire knowledge and critical thinking skills that come from working in close contact with experts and leaders in the field. They will then move on to working on exploratory research projects related to the challenges and issues they have explored in the first phase. The Fellows will be in conversation with NEA Director-General William D. Magwood, IV on the future of nuclear power and their experiences of the programme.
The event is free and open to the public, and will feature a Q&A session afterwards.
Please note that the number of participants is limited and registrations are on a first come, first served basis.
